Job Details
We are seeking Security Officers for Adhoc/Part time jobs across Sydney Metro Area.
We have various positions in Retail & Corporate environment.
Security Officers must have good communication skills, customer orientated, be presentable, punctual and show great professionalism.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Primary role as the assigned adhoc guard for each job is to monitor the safe work practices of the work group.(Contractors,staff)
If you witness unsafe work procedures, report it IMMEDIATELY to the site supervisor or equivalent.
If you are found to have left your post without authorisation, or allow unsafe work to continue, you will be removed from site immediately.?
-Escorting a contractor working at the site either performing repairs, maintenance works or installations.
-Project works being performed at the site where multiple contractors are working at the site at different times.
-Collect an access card and alarm code from the site manger prior to the shift commencement date so they can access the site and operate the alarm system.
-Be in a security provider’s specified security uniform with their security license visible.
Be briefed on who they are meeting and provided with their contact information and what there function is for the adhoc shift.
-Meet the contractor at the main entry of the site or as specified in the work order instructions.
-Remain with the contractor throughout the entire shift and NEVER leave the contractor unsupervised.
-Be aware of the location of the contractor and maintain visual oversight where practical.
-In the event that multiple contractors are onsite, conduct regular internal patrols, providing entry to the site has been secured.
-On completion of the shift, secure and arm the site and obtain a seal from the monitoring center before leaving the site.
-Show a leadership approach with the contractor. This means that the guard knows exactly what his role is for the adhoc shift.
-Be alert whilst on duty.
-At the commencement and completion of the shift, enter all appropriate information into the site logbook or Visitors book.
-Not allow anyone else onsite (this includes friends and or family).
-Take their breaks at the same time as contractor and supervise the contractor during breaks and the entry points, should that be required. T
-Guard can only leave site to get meals if contractor has also left site and the site can be secured. Guard must return promptly to re-open site and consume meal onsite.
Key Requirements
Previous Experience will be highly regarded
Current 1AC N.S.W Security Licence.
Current First Aid Certificate
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Computer competencies including Microsoft Office
Excellent presentation, well-groomed and corporate appropriate
Ability to work as a part of Security Team and individually
High level problem solving skills
Ability to respond to emergency situations.
Ability to work at nights and weekends
Reliable
Punctual
Accepts Responsibility
