Based at Toll Eastern Creek you will be appointed as a Leading Hand and will be tasked as a leader for the onsite security team securing the premises and ensuring the safety of all staff, contractors, and visitors on site. You will be employed on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a small team to ensure the safety, security, and integrity of Toll cargo, Freight, assets, and personnel are maintained.
Monitor and record the movement of all inbound and outbound vehicles and freight.
Check and utilize seals and locks to maintain the integrity of Vehicles and cargo.
Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors are inducted and wearing correct PPE before entering the workplace.
Conduct safety and workplace compliance checks.
Monitor, train, and assist guards to develop suitable skills and procedural knowledge.
A sound understanding of Microsoft applications, Excel, Word and Email
Performance Management experience within a small team.
Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workflow under pressure.
Ability to deliver toolbox talks and on the job training.
Monitor CCTV and ensure access points to Toll Eastern Creek are secured at all times.
Provide remote access for vehicles and pedestrians through the Monitoring Centre.
Respond to interstate requests from Toll Management.
Issue access cards and access privileges and deactivate as requested by Toll Management.
Respond to alarms and emergencies.
Arm Toll sites Australia wide as required.
Respond to Toll Management requests for CCTV review and conduct investigations or access reports as required
Essential Requirements:
Computer literacy is essential (MS Word / Excel / Google Suite / Outlook)
Gatehouse experience within a fast-paced organization is essential
The ability to make decisions and solve problems quickly
Fulfilling daily tasks as well as leading a team
Knowledge of warehouse and logistics preferred but not essential
Current drivers license, security license & first aid certificate
Knowledge of access controls systems, alarm systems, CCTV monitoring systems
